Top 3 Restaurants in Lagos That I’ve Visited (So Far!)

If there’s one thing I absolutely love, it’s discovering great restaurants with good vibes, amazing food, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay forever. Lagos has no shortage of fun spots, and I recently checked out three that totally stole my heart! If you’re looking for a mix of aesthetics, good music, and delicious food, add these to your list. Here's my honest take on the restaurants!

1. Encanto – A Mexican Dream in Lagos

My experience at Encanto was nothing short of exciting! The place had an amazing aesthetic—bright, colorful, and full of energy. The staff was super friendly, and they even got me to wear that famous Mexican hat (I think it’s called a sombrero?🤭). It added a fun touch to the experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food! I had the fajitas, and it was a DIY experience! They brought everything separately, so I had to put together my fajitas myself, which made the meal even more fun. I highly recommend it! Pair that with two glasses of their refreshing margaritas, and I was in food heaven!

The vibe at Encanto was just as good as the food. The DJ kept the music on point. People were dancing, and having a blast, and the vibe was just right. If you’re looking for a place to chill solo, catch up with friends, or even just enjoy good music, Encanto is a solid choice. Would I go back? Definitely!

2. Pitstop – The Perfect Date Spot

Pitstop, located in VI, is another restaurant that left a good impression on me. I had to make a reservation beforehand, and when I arrived, I was promptly shown to my table. The ambiance was just right—low lighting, cozy seating, and a generally intimate feel that makes it perfect for date nights or relaxed dinners.

The service was pleasant—my food arrived in about 30 minutes, which was decent. I ordered a meal and a cocktail, and everything tasted great. The music was just right—not too loud, not too quiet—creating a perfect atmosphere for conversations.

Pitstop is ideal if you’re looking for a quiet, classy spot for either a romantic date or a solo dinner to enjoy good food. This place delivers.

3. Rhapsody’s – The Ultimate Vibe Spot

Rhapsody’s (I visited the Ikeja branch) was a whole vibe! The night I went, they had a live band playing, which made the experience 10 times better. There’s something about good music and good food that just makes life worth living.

Now, let’s talk about why we're here—the food. I ordered their grilled chicken on a stick with jollof rice and a cocktail, and it was a chef’s kiss 👌🏾. I’ve actually had this same meal twice now because it’s just that good! The only downside was that the food took a while to come out since the place was packed. But honestly, the fun atmosphere made up for it.

Unlike Pitstop, Rhapsody’s is more lively and social—it’s the kind of place where you can go for brunch, meet new people, and just enjoy the moment. If you love great music, good food, and a vibrant crowd, this is the spot for you!
